Tucker the Turtle

This past Wednesday Tucker celebrated his 1st halloween.  The morning started with a few pictures in his halloween best, including the adorable pumpkin hat my mom bought him.  However, he currently hates hats and gets very mad when we put them on.  sigh.  (see following pictures for proof)

That afternoon we rushed home from work, loaded up Tucker and all his things and headed out to Brett's parents in Castroville.  Sure, we could have taken him trick-or-treating in our own neighborhood, but this was naturally meant to be a big family event. :) Well worth the drive for all involved.  Grandparents and great grandparents were waiting when we got there and showered little bit with lots of baby friendly goodies.

After playing for a little while, we put on his costume and headed outside to take some pictures of our adorable turtle.  I made the costume and easily spent WAY more time making it than Tucker spent wearing it.  Well worth it when you see how cute he was!!!

For the actual trick-or-treating part, we went to a total of 6 houses, 3 of which belong to good friends of Brett's parents, and all of whom Brett has know most of his life.  He is still too little for candy and to quite understand it but he had fun visiting and being toted around none the less.

The last stop was back at Big Bubba and Nana's house where Uncle Brandon supplied the goodies.  Then we let him play outside for a bit.  He LOVES to push his wagon around and was going back and forth across the yard.

Inside he got more goodies from the other great grandparents and could not wait to chow down on the banana!  He hated bananas when he first started solids but now he loves them.  Weirdo baby. ;)
Then his 2nd cousin (??? Brett's cousin) came by and he played with her for a bit!  She was one of the flower girls in our wedding almost 5 years ago.
Then he spent the last bit of the night playing and was highly entertained by the box of cheerios!  He had a super first halloween and I always feel so blessed for him to have such wonderful grandparents and great grandparents in his life.  They love to be involved and cherish these special moments just as much as we do. :)  He doesn't know it yet, but he is one lucky boy!
